SUMMER OF SOUND: STOP MAKING SENSE

Doors at 6 PM | Film at 7 PM
Free Admission

Join us this summer at Riverside Revival for Summer of Sound, a film series spotlighting iconic music documentaries and concert films, all screened in our historic East Nashville venue.

Kicking off the series: Stop Making Sense

This 1984 film was directed by renowned filmmaker Jonathan Demme and is considered by critics as the greatest concert film of all time. Stop Making Sense stars core band members David Byrne, Tina Weymouth, Chris Frantz, and Jerry Harrison along with Bernie Worrell, Alex Weir, Steven Scales, Lynn Mabry and Edna Holt. The live performance was shot over the course of three nights at Hollywood's Pantages Theater in December of 1983 and features Talking Heads' most memorable songs.—

Admission is free, and seating is theatre style on a first come, first served basis. Doors open at 6 PM and the film begins at 7PM. A full bar, popcorn, select menu items, and sodas will be available for purchase. There is no assigned seating, so come early to grab your spot.

Bring your friends and experience a live performance that changed the way we think about music on film.
