Whether you’re a lifelong music fan or just looking for a unique night out, these films offer an unforgettable look at the artists and moments that shaped music history.
Closing out the series: Amazing Grace
Filmed in 1972 and unreleased for decades, Amazing Grace captures Aretha Franklin at the height of her vocal power during a live recording at the New Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles. Backed by the Southern California Community Choir and directed by Sydney Pollack, the film is a soul-stirring experience that transcends concert and documentary. It’s a powerful testament to faith, artistry, and the undeniable presence of the Queen of Soul.
Admission is free, and seating is theatre style on a first come, first served basis. Doors open at 6 PM and the film begins at 7 PM. A full bar, popcorn, candy, hot food, and sodas will be available for purchase. There is no assigned seating, so come early to grab your spot.
Bring your friends and witness a once-in-a-lifetime performance that continues to move hearts and shape culture more than 50 years later.
